Vision: why do we exist?
During roleplay, participants can practise certain scenarios (e.g. challenging conversations, professional assessments or dealing with aggression) with an actor. This is an effective way to make participants in a training aware of their own conduct, and to give them an opportunity to experiment with alternative behaviour. Play is the catalyst for change in the participant’s learning process. Our vision: a world in which we learn through (role)playing.
Mission: what do we stand for?
The NVvT is the leading association when it comes to all matters concerning roleplay acting. Our association values openness and diversity, and promotes quality roleplay acting performance by stimulating both beginners and more experienced roleplay actors to grow and develop professionally. The NVvT initiates and facilitates opportunities for professional roleplay actors to network and to exchange their professional knowledge and experience. For external stakeholders our insights into roleplay acting and related forms of simulation-based learning make us an indispensable point of contact. We take up an assertive leadership role in the efforts to push for appropriate working conditions and remuneration.
